Kevin and Nicole had such a special celebration at the Historic Rice Mill with the help of family and friends. The two came all the way from Chicago, IL to celebrate such a momentous day at this enchanting venue in the highly coveted Charleston area.
This wedding had some rustic flair! The celadon and blush color palette with gold accents complemented each other well. The first hint of this was in the intricately done invitation suite by Cream Designs. The shimmery celadon envelope reveals a burlap package tied with a twine bow. Once untied, it reveals a gorgeous invitation suite. This was a very unique and memorable touch and set such an elegant tone for the main event!
Once the day of the celebration arrived, the bride to be got ready in the bridal suite with the help of Lashes and Lace; while the groom and his groomsmen took some time to goof around and takes some pictures. Nicole’s bouquet was composed of light pink peonies and ranunculus, but perhaps the most special element is the pictures of her family members who passed away before the big day. This is a great way to feel the presence of those family members while saying the “I do’s.” Followed by all of the fun of getting ready, the bride and groom had a tearful first look. You can tell just how much raw emotion is behind the photographs taken of this first look.
After these two exchanged vows, it came time for the main celebration. The reception was a big hit with the wedding guests. Keeping with the celadon and blush color pallette, the tables were set with celadon cloth napkins. The centerpieces were sweet little mason jars tied off with burlap lace and filled with baby’s breath cut florals from Annabella Florals. This tied together the feeling of the rustic-chic atmosphere. The expertly crafted cake from DeClare Cakes not only looked good, but was delicious too. The guests had so much fun dancing the night away and celebrating the union of two families. A special thanks goes out to Darby Events for the entertainment, and Good Food Catering for the delicious food.
